1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile identifier from that provider.
- Subscription and billing information. When you purchase a paid subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems; we retain limited billing metadata such as your subscription status and a customer identifier.
- Communications. If you contact us for support, we collect the information you include in your message, such as your email address and the contents of your request.
1.2 Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, links clicked, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Device and connection data. We collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, language preferences, and similar technical information.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. See Section 4.
- Security and anti-abuse data. To protect the Service from bots and fraud, our security provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) processes signals about your browser and interaction during sign-up and log-in.
1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or full payment card numbers. We do not collect information from anyone we know to be under the legal age described in Section 8.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and authenticate you when you log in;
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including displaying your subscription-gated content;
- Process subscription payments and manage billing through our payment processor;
- Communicate with you about your account, transactions, security notices, and support requests;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- Analyze usage to understand and improve performance and features;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve third-party advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers (processors). We share information with vendors who process data on our behalf under contract, including: Supabase (authentication, database, and storage), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (bot protection and content delivery), Amazon Web Services (hosting and infrastructure), and Google (optional sign-in). These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SharpSlap, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
- Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: authentication, session management, and security. The Service will not function properly without these.
- Preferences: remembering settings and choices you make.
- Analytics: understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting or blocking them. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you may not be able to log in or use core features.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We also retain information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 6.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and restricting subscription-gated content to authenticated, authorized users on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults who are of legal age in their jurisdiction and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
